Infrastructure Engineer On Site Part 2

Just a quick update to keep you all in the loop, I once again met James Hurst, Voneus engineer. He is back in the area for two days to clarify some details and visit some of the inner areas where the service needs to be provided.

James will also be attending the broadband meeting on the 17th at Manley Village Hall  @ 7pm to update you on the more detailed scope of the build for those of you who might be interested in the finer details.

James has informed me that Ashton Hayes church is no longer a viable option, this is due to some issues after the equipment is fitted. Due to the lack of access to the equipment from the outside, any planned maintenance, outages or unplanned events would require additional planning (scaffolding, cherry picker etc). In the event of an outage with that equipment, it would more than double the amount of time it would take to bring the service back on-line.

All is not lost, as my last update did say that the church was fundamental to the build. A plan B has been found is viable. Details of this secondary location I am not able to share at this time. However, it will not effect planned area of coverage.

As I have said above, Voneus and I will be holding a community meeting on July 17th @ 7pm.

I hope as many of you as possible can attend. I look forward to meeting you all.

If you are unable to attend, I will be sending out minutes from the meeting to ensure you don't miss out.
